It was in 2022, that he directed and produced a sensory experience film ‘Le Musk’. The 37-minute movie stars Nora Arnezeder, Guy Burnet, Munirih Grace, and Mariam Zohrabyan in pivotal roles. According to media reports the virtual-reality film is a one-of-a-kind sensory experience piece that uses scents and haptics for an enhanced viewing experience. The musician’s film has now come under fire for copyright issues.
Well, a recent report by India.com, stated that entities under the Mai Group, Koshayojan Services Limited, and MaI LADS LLO, have initiated legal proceedings against the prominent figures of the entertainment industry. For the unversed, the entities are known for their cutting-edge innovations in immersive experiences. With the help of Luthra and Luthra Law Office India, the Mai Group has filed a legal suit against the 57-year-old music composer. As per the report, the group claims that they have a technology that integrates all human senses and creates a “transcendental immersive experience” for its users. Mai Group claims that ‘Le Musk’ uses elements that are strikingly similar to their pioneering technology, which has raised a lot of questions about intellectual property rights and creative ownership in the entertainment industry. The case has also been filed against Positron, LLC, Intel Corporation, and The Feelies Limited, as they were involved in the production of the short film.
